SaveMoneyCutCarbon makes it easy for people to save money – and the planet. Their website is packed full of innovative products - from energy saving lightbulbs, to eco-friendly laundry products, smart toilets and washing machines. The Home App is designed to increase brand awareness and help people adopt greener buying habits.

The Objective

To develop a fun, interactive way for users to identify and replace everyday products that are bad for the environment with sustainable alternatives.

Our Solution

The app is a resource hub for consumers, featuring an inbuilt product swap tool called “Carbon Dating”. This helps users identify energy intensive household products room by room. They can then swipe on a product to swap to a more eco-friendly alternative.

Doing so compiles a personalised list of their chosen swaps, which they can then buy thanks to a direct link to the SaveMoneyCutCarbon website.

The Result

The Home App is now available for both Apple and Android phones. Feedback from customers will inform development of future features and tools to help sustainability in the home.
