Founded in 1990, The Beauty Academy is the UK’s leading private beauty training provider, with 11 training centres and 120+ classroom and online courses. The website is a critical part of the business and must work seamlessly with the software that manages course data, promotions and student details.

The Objective

The website’s primary users are young adults who predominantly visit the site on mobile devices, so the user journey needs to be slick and quick.

Efficient integration with third party software is important, so that The Beauty Academy team can update course dates, locations and promotions.

Our Solution

WordPress and WooCommerce were the perfect match.

A crucial part of the brief was to make bookings quick and easy through efficient data exchange and entry. By making use of multiple integrations and tools we ensured that the site wouldn’t be time consuming to manage.

Accessplanit CRM Integration.

We built a custom integration with Accessplanit, which enables student data to be transferred during a booking and saves administration time.

This data is requested whenever a course product is added to the basket and can also be updated during the checkout process.

Bulk updating course data made easy.

We built an import tool that controls course dates, pricing and locations. This enables staff to quickly update multiple courses using an imported spreadsheet. This is far more efficient than editing each course by hand.

Staff can also create and control “last minute offers”. These promotions are an important part of the sales funnel and are positioned at strategic points during the customer journey.

The website also integrates with the following third parties to enhance sales, reviews and testimonials:

The Result

Our new website has delivered truly astounding results.

The old website had modest sales in 2016 with just under 400 transactions. We launched our new site in 2017 and increased transactions by 542% in the first year to just over 2,500. Since then, our team have continued to help online sales grow with an impressive 13,855 transactions in 2019. Here’s how the 2019 sales results compare to the original 2016 website:
