Meet the team: Matt

University of Suffolk Business School graduate, Matt Johnson, started his career at a digital marketing agency in Ipswich. He joined Fellowship a year later, as one of just five staff.

Since then, Matt’s worked on account management, overseeing website projects and leading on digital marketing. In 2019, he became our Head of Client Services.

Matt’s a big West Ham fan and is currently trawling his loft for football memorabilia to decorate his newly converted home office.

A regular gym goer and runner, he ran the London Marathon in 2014 for Marie Curie. And promptly proposed to his wife at the finish! They now have a one year old daughter.

He’s also a keen traveller. His next door neighbour calls him Judith Chalmers (younger readers can Google her). A trip to New York included skating in Central Park and seeing the Knicks at Madison Square Garden. Other highlights are driving Iceland’s Golden Circle and flying to Dublin for the day.

Matt’s been busy renovating his house from top to bottom, accompanied by an eclectic Spotify playlist, featuring house, reggae and 90s britpop. He’s seen Oasis live. And he went back a second time!

His work highlights include:

  • leading on the WordPress multi-site project for G&W UK following their acquisition of Freightliner & Pentalver.
  • multiple projects for SaveMoneyCutCarbon including their Home & Trade membership scheme.
  • taking Cheffins’ estate agency from non-existent to the top of page 1 on Google for targeted keywords.
  • helping deliver a hugely popular new e-commerce website for Black Sheep Brewery.

Matt says:

“I love working here. I’m proud of the high standards Fellowship sets and that we consistently punch above our weight.

Even when there were just four of us we had big international clients like Freightliner, who could have chosen a much bigger agency. Now there are eighteen of us, it doesn’t feel any less busy.”

let’s work together
