Helping Shelbourne Reynolds Recruit Staff

Sector:
Agriculture
Employees:

Head Office:
Digital & Marketing Team

Shelbourne Reynolds has built a worldwide reputation as a leading manufacturer of specialist agricultural machinery. They have to recruit for a range of technical staff, often relying on recruitment agencies to help them do so.

The Objective

To create and manage their own job postings and feature them on Google Jobs. Millions of job seekers use Google every day to help them with their search. Using Google Jobs saves on the expense and time involved in commissioning a recruitment agency.

Our Solution

Firstly we scoped the technical requirements needed to integrate with Google Jobs, plus the admin required from Shelbourne Reynolds. Then we looked at what the user experience would be when searching and applying for a job on the website.

Google Jobs schema

We specified the fields needed to generate a rich snippet which can be read by Google and turned into a listing on Google Jobs. These fields are also used within the client site’s CMS to list the job in their careers area.

Website careers area

As well as integrating with Google Jobs, we created a careers area on the site featuring current vacancies. Users can click on a chosen job post for more information and send in their application.

The Result

Shelbourne Reynolds have seen a steady flow of job applications since we implemented the new Careers page. They now have a larger pool of applicants for the roles they are offering.

With the new improvements we have been able to broaden our intake of job applications, many of these come from our website including from featuring our vacancies via Google jobs. This is an invaluable source that will provide us more opportunities to find and select the right people for the roles we offer.”
