Helping revolutionise Europe’s railways

We’ve built a new website for Freightliner, to support the launch of their European Rail Traffic Management System (ERTMS). This aims to replace the different train control and command systems currently in use across 24 countries.

Our site will help the entire Freightliner team learn more about the new technology and infrastructure. It also uses interactive imagery to show where the new hardware will be fitted to locomotives. Other features include FAQs, news updates and the ability to submit questions directly to the ERTMS team. Future development will include driver training information, downloadable resources and details of individual rail line implementations.

ERTMS is arguably the most effective train control system in the world, bringing significant advantages in terms of maintenance costs savings, safety, reliability, punctuality and traffic capacity.
